OREANDA-NEWS. May 25, 2007.  This year KAMAZ Inc. plans to start launching tractors together Aslan Musin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Minister of Economy and Budget Planning, visited KAMAZ Inc. on business.

The guest of honour accompanied by Sergey Kogoghin, Director General of KAMAZ Inc., visited the main assembly line and “KAMAZ-Diesel”, watched the modern technique exhibition in “KAMAZ R&D Center”. During the talks there were discussed issues concerning development of cooperation of KAMAZ Inc. with the Kazakhstan enterprises.

Over the last five years Kazakhstan became the second KAMAZ product market by value.

The Russian company not only sells its trucks and buses, but also invests heavily in the republican automobile industry development. Thus, for example, 1601 units out of 5845 new KAMAZ automobiles added to the Kazakhstan vehicle fleet in 2006 were produced by the joint assembly enterprise “KAMAZ-Engineering” in Kokshetau. Assembly of models KAMAZ-65115, -55111, -55102 and also of NEFAZ buses on the basis of the special KAMAZ chassis is developed here. Demand for KAMAZ-65115 vehicles in Kazakhstan requires higher potential of “KAMAZ-Engineering”. And to supply this demand the plant is forced to assemble only this model to date. But it’s an interim measure. The deficit will be covered due to direct delivery from Naberezhnye Chelny.

KAMAZ Inc. intends to continue developing the Kazakhstan market. “We will build service centers in the country, develop component parts production, - Sergey Kogoghin said on this matter”.

“Our plans in Kazakhstan are clear, - Director General of KAMAZ Inc. added, - in 2007 we intend to sell over 7 thousand vehicles in the country, including 2,5 thousand KAMAZ vehicles, which will be assembled on the production line of the joint enterprise. The results of 4 months of work prove that this is real”. In June-July 2007 production of three models more – four-wheel drive vehicles KAMAZ-43114, -4326 and -43261 – will be developed by the joint enterprise in Kokshetau.

Summarizing the results of his visit to KAMAZ Inc., Aslan Musin announced: “I consider our interests coincide. We have all opportunities for wider cooperation. Kazakhstan is currently developing. We are working at modernization of our economy, and we need such producers ready to work with us as KAMAZ Inc.”.
