OREANDA-NEWS. Over the first four months of 2007, the logging companies of the Ilim Pulp Corporation logged 2.9 million cubic metres of timber, 10.4% up year-over-year.

Total timber supply by Ilim Pulp’s subsidiaries was 10.1% up from the level of 2006 at 2 million cu metres. Timber supply by outside logging companies went up 12.4% to 2.8 million cubic metres of wood.

Mechanical woodworking products saw a considerable growth owing to hardboard output that went up 27% totalling 17.3 million sq metres. Output of woodworking products was up 27% at 3.9 thousand cubic metres.
