OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2007. Since April 2007 the enterprise of federal postal service got the function on pension and other social payments delivery in cities and districts in Moscow region from territorial departments of the Pension Fund of the RF, reported the press-centre of  Russian Post.

Russian Post performs extra-delivery of pensions for 332 thousands pensioners living in 18 districts and 10 cities in Moscow region since 1 April. Two-months experience showed that Russian Post makes this socially important task.

Since July this year Russian Post is going to deliver pension to another 317 thousand pensioners living in 10 districts and 5 cities in Moscow region currently served by delivery services of the Pension Fund of the RF.

Post performs home delivery of pensions under the same schedule old people got used to for the last years.

The enterprise invests immense financial aids to improve service quality on pension delivery. It implements new technologies, upgrade technological equipment and renovate car fleet. Russian Post jointly with the Pension Fund of the RF continues work on further improvement of pension and other social payments delivery system. In particular it concerns implementation of electronic document turnover technology in pension delivery and payment within Russia. Having tested electronic document turnover in the pension payment system in Nizhniy Novgorod region in 2006 Russian Post introduced this technology in 18 constituent entities of the country. The given system was in full swing by April 2007. Post plans to set this technology in all the entities of the RF till the end of 2008. New technology enables to control payments of pensions and allowances everyday and inform pensioners of type and date of payments monthly.
