OREANDA-NEWS. The construction of a new oil-loading terminal has begun at Skovorodino Station in Eastern Siberia. The new terminal is part of a project to build the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil pipeline.

During the initial sage, oil from Western Siberia will be pumped from Taishet to Skovorodino and then transferred to rail cisterns for delivery to the Perevoznaya Bay in Primorsky Territory on Russia’s Pacific coast.

As part of the reconstruction of Skovorodino Station, a new park and terminal will also be built, as well as the associated infrastructure.

The park will have five railway lines, each of which will be able to handle trains with 71 wagons.

The park is due to begin operations in the third quarter of 2008.
