OREANDA-NEWS. June 13, 2007. The forge plant of “KAMAZ-Metallurgy” PLC continues technical re-equipment of the central factory laboratory, reported the press-centre of  KAMAZ.

Renewal of the equipment stock is a strategically important direction in the development of “KAMAZ-Metallurgy” PLC. In January 2007 there was purchased a stationary analyzer “Foundry-master” of the German company WAS-AG, which widened the technical reserves of the chemical-spectral laboratory. It is designed for detecting the chemistry of metal. The chief advantages of the analyzer are speed and accuracy of analyses, as well as serviceability.

Besides, within the bounds of the innovation project for the metallographic laboratory of the forge plant there was bought an industrial microscope “Olympus BX-51 RF” (Japan) with an image analysis system “Thixomet” (the product made by St. Petersburg’s experts). With its help there were led analyses of incoming metal and forgings.

Some more projects on purchasing new equipment are planned. They will provide more accurate results of analyses.
