OREANDA-NEWS. On June 09, 2007 Atom Innovation Center has conducted one more seminar in the framework of the preparations for the 2nd Rosatom Innovative Forum. The topic of the seminar was the organization of the interaction between the authors of innovative projects and the potential consumers of nuclear high technologies, reported the press-centre of  Atom Innovation Center.

Attending the seminar were representatives of Sukhoi EDB, MiG, Soyuz, Moscow Metro, TNK-BP, Sistema, Ruselectronics. The seminar was one more step in developing new principles and institutions of inter-sectoral cooperation based on the analysis of the potential demand and on collective problem-solving.

The deputy director of Atom Innovation A.Turin said that such seminars are aimed at establishing effective inter-sectoral cooperation and solving national-level tasks. For this purpose Rosatom is conducting a number of events this year: Fair of Innovative Projects “NPP-2006 and New Technological Platform,” “Radioactive Waste and Spent Nuclear Fuel Treatment,” “AtomMed-2007” and the 2nd Innovative Forum are meant exactly to promote promising long-term projects and to shape demand for innovations.

The seminar was conducted in the format of roundtables: “Fuel and Energy Complex,” “Mining Companies,” “Aircraft Building Complex,” “Railways,” “Electronics for Aviation and Civil Industries.” The authors of the projects were not only able to present their innovations but also to see the needs of potential consumers. For example, a representative of TNK-BP showed keen interest in some of Rosatom’s proposals and presented a list of 18 process automation problems Rosatom could help them to solve.

At the same time, some of the potential consumers noted that the format of project presentation needs improvement as it does not always reflect the whole spectrum of the problems a specific innovation is meant to solve. And so, the sides decided to meet on a regular basis so as to be able to attain a mutually acceptable format of cooperation.

They also agreed to set up joint working groups, which will outline priorities, specify problems and propose specific solutions. The results of their work will be presented during the final of the Forum in President Hotel (24 B. Yakimanka Street, Moscow) on June 26 2007.
