Over 180 innovative projects will be presented at the 2nd Rosatom Innovative Forum that will be conducted on June 26
During a press-conference on June 22 the advisor of the head of Rosatom
Pyotr Schedrovitsky said that the key topic of the forum is inter-sectoral influence: the use of innovative projects developed both in the nuclear power industry and in other related sectors.
Presently, already 20 of the 80 finalist projects are being considered by potential consumers from oil, aviation and some other industries.
The “Aircraft Building Complex” section will present corrosion-proof steel pipes for planes, laser technologies for air navigation and radiation experimental center. Almost all of these projects already have investors.

Schedrovitsky said that the nuclear power industry will steadily raise the “export” of innovative solutions to other sectors. Eight projects worth a total of 600mln RUR are already underway: tomography, laser equipment, leak-proof pumps for the oil and gas industry, etc.

Head of Innovation Department of Rosatom Marat Mulukov said that they are working on several other potential projects worth a total of 250mln RUR.

He said that there are all prerequisites for effective risk profile and the involvement of nuclear power companies in joint projects. “Presently, we are working on techno-park, business-incubator and sectoral venture fund projects. We have already set up a managing company and during the upcoming forum will select projects for this fund,” Mulukov said.

In conclusion, Schedrovitsky noted that nuclear power engineering is reviving all over the world. “We are expecting a big inflow of investments, but today many investors still refrain from putting money in such projects in Russia because of the lack of necessary legal conditions. In the coming 5–7 years we will remove these obstacles and the interest in the sector will certainly grow,” Schedrovitsky said.
