OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2007. Sergey Vasiliev has been appointed Head of Production Security Audit of the Technical Inspection Department of JSC IDGC of the Center and North Caucasus. Dmitry Rybnikov, ex-Head of the above mentioned Department, has become Head of Grid Development Department of IDGC-1.

Sergey Vasiliev was born on December 15, 1969 in the town of Labinsk, Krasnodar Territory. After graduating from Kharkov Aeronautical Institute with a degree in aero-engine construction, he also obtained a degree in industrial power supply from Kuban State Technological University, after which he went on to the Intra-mural Institute of Personnel Development of Bauman MSTU for a degree in effective business management technologies.

The service record of Mr. Vasiliev highlights the caree-climbing stagesfrom electrician to director with hands-on experience and skills. The career of the newly qualified engineer started in 1992. He worked as maintenance electrician for VL-35 kW and higher of Labinsk power grids.  Then in 1996 he became an operator of operative group of Labinsk APG of Labinsk power grids, and in 1997 – an operator of Labinsk power grids themselves. In 2003 Sergey Vasiliev was appointed Deputy Chief Engineer – Head of Health and Safety of Labinsk power grids (an affiliated company of JSC Kubanenergo). Then he became a WSPCS leading engineer in JSC Kubanenergo. In 2005 – Deputy Director of Work Safety and Production Control Service (WSPCS) in JSC Kubanenergo. In 2006 – Director of PGS in JSC Kubanenergo.

Currently, being the Head of Production Security Audit, Sergey Vasiliev is going to work harder: “The most important task of our Department is to reduce the accident rate of DGC personnel, organize proper management standards, in health and safety practices in order to provide our employees with normal work conditions and safe equipment. In order to achieve this goal the managing company has worked out and is developing extra measures in this area. 2007 is called “The Year of Work Safety and Safety Measures”, which makes the methods for grid companies’ activities quite obvious. We should not slow down, but move on”.
