OREANDA-NEWS. On June 18, 2007 the winners of the contest “The Best Russian Exporter 2006” took their awards in Moscow, reported the press-centre of KAMAZ.

For the eighth time KAMAZ Inc. won in its “crowning” and most prestigious category of this contest – “The Best Exporter of the Sector”.

In 2006 KAMAZ Inc. there were realized 11,3 thousand automobiles on the foreign markets that is by 32,9% more than in 2005. Every fourth KAMAZ is exported. KAMAZ vehicles and spare parts for them are delivered in 46 foreign countries.

The most part of production is exported in CIS countries (86% of the total export volume). In 2006 KAMAZ Inc. kept up its domination on the basic Kazakhstan markets (its share is over 70% on the market), Azerbaijan (80%) and Turkmenistan (70%). The considerable increase of export is in Kazakhstan – (by 72,7% - 5,7 thousand automobiles in 2006 and 3,3 thousand units in 2005) and Ukraine – (by 61,5% - 2,1 thousand units in 2006 and 1,3 thousand units in 2005).

Last year KAMAZ Inc. became the leader of the Ukrainian market, extended export in the countries of Central, South-East Asia and Africa, became more active on the markets of Iran, the Sudan, Afghanistan, Angola, resumed deliveries on the markets of Venezuela and Panama.

To date 6 assembly lines work abroad (Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Iran). In 2006 the assembly line in Kazakhstan (Kokshetau) started its production. The first assembly sets were delivered in the countries of Central and South-East Asia.

One of the most important competitive advantages of KAMAZ equipment on the foreign markets is a wide service network. 87 service centers work abroad, 50 of them – in CIS and 37 – far abroad. In 2006 the service centers of the dealers of KAMAZ Inc. were built in Syria, the Sudan, Algeria and certified in Georgia and Armenia.
