OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2007. The agreement between Interros and the Federal Agency for Nuclear Energy (Rosatom) provides for effective implementation of federal and departmental target programs, reported the press-centre of Interros.

Under the agreement, the sides intend to cooperate in prospecting and the development of uranium fields in Russia and abroad, as well as in mining uranium and associated mineral resources. The point at issue, in the first place, is to launch new prospecting and mining methods. The agreement will also contribute to boosting the output and processing of uranium and preserving the necessary level of environmental safety.

The parties are interested in attracting investments, which will help expand the production of high-tech products and new materials with unique consumer properties.

The sides are also going to cooperate in training of qualified scientific, technical and managerial personnel.
