OREANDA-NEWS. For the second year running URALSIB analysts are among the best (ranked 6th) covering Russia equity and debt markets, according to "All-Russia research team" annual survey 2007 published by Institutional Investor. URALSIB analysts are ranked runners-up in two of the Institutional Investor's ten categories: Konstantin Chernyshev (telecommunications) and Caius Rapanu (utilities), reported the press-centre of URALSIB.

Commenting on the research results, Konstantin Chernyshev, Head of Research and Analysis, OJSC BANK URALSIB, said that in 2006-2007 his team saw considerable changes. The efforts were focused on reinforcing the team and finding the right people. "The ranking is promising, but does not reflect the existing potential of our team. Funds' managers have voted in Q1 2007, that is how the survey results were produced. Our primary goal as analysts, as I see it, is to help investors to take their investment decisions. I believe that the current rank recognises that we meet these requirements".

The rankings are based on the responses of more than 230 by-side investors at nearly 200 institutions worldwide managing estimated $55 billion in Russian assets.

Institutional Investor's awards are considered to be the most prestigious in the profession. They are the only awards, recognising teams dedicated exclusively to the Russian market.
