OREANDA-NEWS. On June 21, 2007 the Russian national carrier JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” got a new liner A320 within the frameworks of the operation leasing deal. The aircraft is named “V. Serov” after the famous Russian artist, reported the press-centre of JSC “Aeroflot”.

It is the third aircraft Aeroflot got this year. Till end of 2007 Aeroflot will get three more Airbuses А321 within the frameworks of earlier made agreements and three aircrafts А319 under new deals. Eleven aircrafts A320 are expected to be supplied in 2008. All aircrafts are new and delivered directly from the “Airbus” plant.

The Lessor is Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

At the moment Aeroflot is exploiting Airbuses of A320 family in the wide net of European and domestic routes. Cabins include two classes and hold 116 (А319), 140 (А320) and 170 (А321) passengers.

The fleet of Aeroflot comprises 81 aircrafts including TU-134 - 11, TU-154 – 26, IL-96 – 6,  А319 – 8,  А320 – 12,  А321 – 7,  B767 – 11.
