OREANDA-NEWS. The plant is part of TVEL Corporation. Pulikovsky familiarized himself with the work of the plant, its nuclear and radiation safety and ecological measures. Accompanied by the director of NCCP Vladimir Razin, Pulikovsky inspected one of the major departments of the plant – NPP fuel production workshop.

After the visit Pulikovsky said: “This is a planned fact-finding visit. I have heard a lot about your plant but am visiting it for the first time. I am really impressed”.

Last year Rostekhnadzor conducted 55 inspections at the plant and issued 35 improvement notices. Pulikovsky said: “A company that receives no single remark is an ideal company and your plant is very close to this ideal”.

NCCP is one of the leading Russian enterprises and the biggest lithium producer in the country. It produces fuel for WWER-1000 and WWER-440 reactors as well as for different types of research reactors. The plant has produced nuclear fuel for over 25 years already. Almost half of Ukraine’s and Bulgaria’s electricity is generated by NPPs working on fuel produced by NCCP. The company employs over 7,000 people.
