OREANDA-NEWS. July 3, 2007. SUEK AG, a wholly owned export subsidiary of the joint stock company SUEK, incorporated in Switzerland, opens its branch in Taiwan (Taipei) and subsidiary company in Poland (Gdansk).

The branch in Taipei for the most part will develop the deliveries in Taiwan and China and control deliveries of SUEK to other countries of Asian Pacific Region. Furthermore the branch in Taipei will temporarily be responsible for coal purchase in Indonesia for trading purposes. Presently the opportunity of branching out a new office directly in Indonesia is under consideration.

The Polish subsidiary company will be entirely local market-oriented.

"The coal markets in China and Poland are now under reform, the countries re-orientate from exporting coal toward importing, and we intend to increase sales in these spheres considerably. Moreover setting up a new bulk terminal in the bay Muchke next summer makes us concentrate on marketing our coal toward Asian Pacific Region and intensify our work with customers in this sphere", - says managing director of SUEK AG Yuri Filippov.

SUEK AG is one of the participants of the world coal trading system GlobalCOAL. During the first five months of 2007 the company has delivered 10,18 millions tons of coal to the buyers.
