Odessa to Put Dry Port into Operation
OREANDA-NEWS. July 3, 2007. At the end of the last week the Odessa Commercial Sea Port put the first stage of the dry port into operation, reports Kommersant quoting Ukraininform.
The first stage of the dry port occupies 2.5 hectares. The second stage of the port will be set in 2008.
According to head of the Odessa port Nikolayj Pavluk, Euroterminal is an original of the project and the builders of the dry port. The company also provided the major volume of the investment. The share of the Odessa Commercial Sea Port was $30 mn. The total cost of the terminal is $110 mn.
The terminal is to handle empty containers.
