OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2007. The topic of the seminar was the analysis and development of complex programs for improving the work of the press services of nuclear power companies. Over 30 people – heads and employees of the press services and PR centers of Rosenergoatom, TVEL and Energoatom (Ukraine) – took part in the seminar, reported the press-centre of TVEL.

The Russian and Ukrainian specialists considered ways to solve the present PR tasks under the large-scale nuclear energy development programs in their countries. They discussed how to effectively work with the mass media and the public (especially the residents of the NPP zones), organize exhibitions and PR campaigns, publish PR materials.

The spokesman of Paks NPP (Hungary) Istvan Mittler reported on how his service covered the reconstruction of the plant.

Professors of St.Petersburg State University and well-known PR advisors have lectures. The participants in the seminar visited the Water Museum opened by St.Petersburg Vodokanal company in a water-tower of XIX.
 
This is not TVEL’s first joint project with Rosatom St.Petersburg Study Center. In Feb 2007 TVEL supported the conduct of a winter school at the center. The seminar was organized by Women In Nuclear Global and St.Petersburg Nuclear Society. The topic was “PR Instruments: How to Work with the Public and Mass Media.”
