OREANDA-NEWS. On July 2, 2007 a gala ceremony of summing up the results and awarding the winners of the 13th International journalistic contest PEGAZ-2006 has been held in Moscow, reported the press-centre of OAO TATNEFT.

This is the biggest and the most popular contest of journalists covering the problems of the fuel and energy complex of Russia. However, the colleagues from CIS countries and the Russian language publications from the Baltic countries have also been invited in recent years to participate in the event.

The contest has been conducted in 12 nominations and has appraised the works of not only individual journalists, but also the work of the newspapers and magazines, editing boards, television studios, radio programs, Internet resources. The jury panel included representatives of government agencies, the largest companies and the fuel and energy companies of the country, renowned academicians and journalists. Summing up the results is normally arranged at the best sites in Moscow. In the previous years they were held at such venues as the Smaller Theater, the "New Opera" Theater, the Tretyakov Gallery, etc. This year's celebration has been held in the Oval Room of the Library of Foreign Literature named after Rudomino at the old mansion.
 
334 collective and individual applications from 12 information agencies, 30 TV and radio companies and 26 press service agencies have come to participate in the PEGAZ-2006 contest. The contestants' features have been printed in 154 newspapers and 54 magazines. The geography of the applicants covers 79 cities in 50 regions of Russia, plus Belarus, Lithuania, the Ukraine and Eustonia.

The contest of this year can be called the triumph of Tatneft. The First prize and the Grand Prix, a bronze statuette of the winged horse PEGAZ has been awarded to the team of OAO TATNEFT press service. The Editing Board of the Company's corporate newspaper "Neftyanye Vesti" (Oil News), which already used to receive the first prize earlier, has been awarded the Bronze PEGAZ statuette this time.  A special prize in the nomination "The cycle of features on television" has been awarded to the TV Studio "The Time of Tatneft". The magazine "Petroleum and Life" has been awarded the prize in the nomination "The Prize to Newspaper and Magazines Teams".
