OREANDA-NEWS. The Second Session of Russian-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation ended on July 10, 2007. The Russian Side was represented at the Session by delegates from the Government, Ministries and Administrative Departments of the Russian Federation and its subjects, as well as managers of Major Russian Companies in the field of FEC (Fuel and Energy Complex), including first vice president of OAO Stroytransgaz Leonid Bokhanovsky.

The Russian Delegation was headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Head of RF Government Office Sergei Naryshkin, the Turkmen Delegation was headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan Cabinet of Ministers Rashid Meredov.

Addressing the Plenary Commission Meeting Leonid Bokhanovsky underlined OAO Stroytransgaz’s objective to long term and fruitful cooperation with the Turkmen Side and acknowledged availability of corresponding resources with the Company to implement the most complex projects in the territory of Turkmenistan.

During the work of the Session negotiations were held between L.Bokhanovsky and Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan Cabinet of Ministers T.Taghiev, Chairman of State Concern (SC) Turkmengaz Ya.Kakaev and Chairman of SC Tukmenneftegazstroy D.Babashev, at which questions of practical realization of the agreements reached during the meeting of OAO Stroytransgaz Management with President of Turkmenistan, dated June 29, 2007, were discussed.

The Sides agreed to incorporate the results of work on extension of bilateral cooperation in the statements of the third Session of Russian-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission.
