OREANDA-NEWS. The Gazprom Headquarters has hosted a meeting on examining major provisions of innovation strategy development for information and control systems (ICS) of Gazprom production and technology complex (PTC). The meeting was moderated by Alexander Ananenkov, Acting Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee.

The meeting was attended by heads and specialists of the core business units of the Company.

The meeting discussed major business directions and challenges for development of new-generation integrated multilevel ICS for Gazprom PTC.

The parties marked an increasing significance of economic aspects in the Company’s production structures in the present gas industry. Gazprom conducts a purposeful work to reduce production costs, improve investment and production activities, optimize PTC’s system attributes, upgrade decision-making system, create highly efficient management practices and upgrade corporate management structure at the subsidiary level.

The integrated ICS development based on promising system decisions taking into account gas industry development processes and new information technologies is considered as one of the major ways to efficiently manage Gazprom’s facilities and PTC processes within the market conditions.

The meeting resulted in endorsing major provisions of the innovation strategy. The Company’s core business units were tasked to continue work on strategy development and draft concept to execute ICS. The task force is being created to coordinate activities in this sector.
