OREANDA-NEWS. On July 13, 2007 Izhorskiye Zavody OJSC, a part of OMZ (Uralmash-Izhora Group) (RTS: OMZZ; LSE: OMZD; OTC: UHMVY), announced that it has successfully completed production of metallurgical equipment for Uralskaya Stal company located in Novotroitsk, Orenburg region, reported the press-centre of OMZ.

The contract for production of the equipment was signed in August 2005. It provided for the production of a line of rollers, disk cooler, sheet loading and unloading device, dividing shears and other equipment. In all, 22 separate items with total weight of 2,400 tons were to be produced for Uralskaya Stal‘s rolling mill. The value of the contract was RUR400 million.

The contract has been completed after successful testing of the dividing shears carried out by representatives of VNIIMETMASH, designer of the device, and representatives of Uralskaya Stal.
