OREANDA-NEWS. July 11, 2007. The Russian bank acquired by Sampo Bank last year has been under intensive development. It has been operational since April, and the process of changing its name from ZAO Profibank to ZAO Danske Bank was completed now in June. ZAO Danske Bank already serves several corporate clients, and the door is open for new ones. The bank is located in St. Petersburg, reported the press-centre of Sampo Pank.

“Now it’s time for Nordic corporations to start using us in Russia,” says Antti Urvas, head of the Danske Bank Group’s corporate banking operations in Russia. “We are ready to provide both financing and cash management services, including Russian specialities, in a competitive and reliable way.”

In Russia, Danske Bank is concentrating on corporate clients whose majority owners come from the Nordic or Baltic countries. The bank’s services in Russia are especially advantageous for companies that also use Danske Bank in other markets.

ZAO Danske Bank is also ready to finance investments and working capital needs of Russian companies with majority owners in Nordic or Baltic countries. Unlike banks without a direct presence in Russia, Danske Bank can now offer financing based on local collateral in Russia. And on the other hand, international corporations will benefit from a global relationship with Danske Bank that they cannot obtain from purely Russian banks.

ZAO Danske Bank is part of Danske Bank’s Corporate and Institutional Banking network, which includes operations in Great Britain, Germany and Poland. ZAO Danske Bank wants to offer its clients a dedicated corporate banking team focused on the needs of Nordic clients, and we can serve you in the Russian, English, Finnish and Swedish languages.
