OREANDA-NEWS. On July 18, 2007 the grand opening ceremony of the new power grid unit 330kV substation “Frunzenskaya” will take place in the Belgorod region, reported the press-centre of JSC “IDGC of Center and North Caucasus”.

The transformer capacity of the new substation is 195 MegavoltMV/ aAmpere.  The new unit can cover the load growth, increase the power supply reliability of Belgorod and the South-Western part of the Belgorod region, as well as, offload the 330 kV “Belgorod” substation, which is the single main substation for over 20 110 kV substations in the Belgorod region.

The “Frunzenskaya” substation is the power grid unit of a new generation. It is equipped with the advanced micro processing units of relay protection and automated control system of technological processes by French company REVA. Control, automating equipment are implemented with automated system of power metering (ASPMAMR). The project provides the possibility to operate the substation on-line from removed remote dispatcher room without an operating crew.
