OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2007. At the Russian Field 2007 award ceremony EuroChem has been awarded the gold medal for its new Ammophoska universal grade 12:15:15 complex fertilizer, and the Grand Prix and diploma of the Best Fertilizer 2007 for Sulphoammophos grade 20:20 produced by EuroChem - Belorechenskie Minudobrenia. The President of Russia highly appraised the company for complex and agrochemical services delivered by its distribution network, reported the press-centre of EuroChem.

The total surface area of the industrial exhibition exceeded 40 Ha. EuroChem had a really king-size display which spanned two sites. At the conventional EuroChem stand free-of-charge samples were handed out to the visitors who could get consultation on product usage. A new Ammophoska universal grade 12:15:15 fertilizer was presented to farmers and gardeners. What was unique about the fertilizer was the absence of chlorine adversely affecting the plant roots. The fertilizer was named the gold winner of the exhibition. Sulphoammophos grade 20:20, the winner of the Grand-Prix as the Best Fertilizer of 2007, has been developed by EuroChem specialists primarily for applying to soils of the South of Russia. It was designed for grain growing, tilled and industrial crops. By all parameters, the fertilizer leaves behind a conventional ammophos, and contains 20% of nitrogen, 10% of sulphur and 20% of phosphorus.

In addition to fertilizers, for the first time in the history of the exhibition, the most advanced tool for application of dry fertilizers to soil was presented – TerraGator – equipped with GPS navigation system based on satellite communication. The uniqueness of TerraGator is in its capacity to recognize soil sample points at the field and apply a necessary amount of fertilizers taking into account the planned crop yield. The First Deputy Premier Mr. Ivanov pointed out the need to launch such devices in Russia.

The day before the official opening of the exhibition EuroChem display was visited by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. The President of Russia and EuroChem General Director, Dmitry Strezhnev, had a detailed conversation. Commenting on the EuroChem display the President was laconic: 'It's great!' The stand was also attended by Sergey Ivanov, Alexey Gordeev, the Russian Minister of Agriculture, over 50 regional governors and local leaders. The important visitors paid careful attention both to the products and, particularly, to a whole range of agrochemical services of the Company, from soil sampling and analysis to control over fertilizer application using electronic field maps.
