OREANDA-NEWS. On July 13, 2007 the capital of Kazakhstan have received a pleasant gift for its birthday: Astana-Finance JSC leased 95 new MAN buses to Astana city. Today citizens have already tried new comfortable public vehicles on the central routes of Astana, reported the press-centre of Astana-Finance Leasing Company.

Today 95 new German MAN city buses moved on the all central routes. Astana-Finance company leased the buses to the city authorities for 7 years at 9,5% p.a. rate.
Saule Ussenova, Vice-Chairman of Astana-Finance Leasing Company: “Leasing is a long-term rent. Being a leasing company we allow the bus depot to buy into property autobuses upon expiry of 7 years during which it makes painless payments. These buses are new to the city and the manufacturer the service. This is a kind of cycle: we purchase and lease the buses, the bus depot runs them.”

Till the end of the year city authorities intend to renew the public transport. This will be comfortable for the citizens and beneficial for the urban ecology – the new buses meet the European standards.

Angel Devev, Director of MAN Truck and Bus Kazakhstan: “For us this is a big project to be implemented during 10 years on the territory of Asia. We have modern design that will still look good in 10 years.”

Another substantial advantage is that the new vehicles are adjusted to work in very low temperatures up to – 35o C. The cost of one bus is Euro 120,000 – 125,000. After 7 years the city bus depot will be able to buy them into its property.
