OJSC VolgaTelecom Cast the Total of Activity for the 1H of 2007
OREANDA-NEWS. August 3, 2007.By the results of OJSC VolgaTelecom activity for the 1-st half of 2007 RAS proceeds amounted to 12 249,4 million rubles (growth rate vs. the 1-st half of 2006 – 120,4 %). VolgaTelecom telecommunication services revenues made up 11 610,9 million rubles (growth rate – 120,9 %), sales profit –3 108 million rubles (growth rate – 118,6 %).
The major portion in the proceeds s tructure falls on local communication services revenues –5 576,4 million rubles (growth rate – 107,4 %) or 45,5% of the proceeds. Revenues from in tra-regional communication –2 329,7 million rubles (growth rate - 175,2%) or 19% of the proceeds amount. Revenues from traffic connection and transit services amount to 1 756 million rubles (growth rate – 108,4%) or 14,3% of the proceeds amount. Revenues from high-tech communication services made up 1 476,2 million rubles (growth rate – 148,9%), including from Internet access services - 1 250,4 million rubles (growth rate – 147,5%).
In the first half of 2007 OJSC VolgaTelecom expenditures amounted to 9 141,4 million rubles.
Profit before tax grew to 2325,3 million rubles (growth rate – 116,0 %). OJSC VolgaTelecom net profit by the results of the 1-st half of 2007 made up 1665,2 million rubles (growth rate – 116,0 %), EBITDA - 4397,3 million rubles (growth rate – 115,0%). Sales profit cost effectiveness made up 34%, pretax earnings cost effectiveness - 25,4%, net profit cost effectiveness - 18,2%. EBITDA in proceeds - 35,9%.
In the 1-st quarter of 2007 the subscribers’ base of Internet broadband access services users grew by factor of 3,6 vs. similar period of the previous year and made up 186,5 thousand subscribers. The share of revenues from Internet access services in the s tructure of proceeds made up 10,2 % and grew by 47,5 % vs. the 1-st half of 2006.
During the 1-st half of 2007 the number of basic telephone sets grew by 21 423 units vs. the quantity at the end of 2006 end.
Staff on the payroll reduced by 17% to 37 447 men. During the reporting period the number of lines per an employee grew to 133,9 lines (growth rate – 123,6 %). Revenue per an employee grew to 327,1 thousand rubles (growth rate – 145,0%). Revenue per a line by the results of the 1-st half of 2007 made up 2449,7 rubles (growth rate – 117,6%).
