OREANDA-NEWS. At the end of July 2007 official reserve assets made up LTL 14,9 billion (EUR 4,3 billion, USD 5,9 billion). In the course of one month they decreased by LTL 824,8 million, i.e. 5,2 per cent, reported the press-centre of Bank of Lithuania.

A factor reducing reserve assets was the contraction of the Bank of Lithuania external liabilities of LTL 1,1 billion.

The growth of official reserve assets was affected by the increase of currency in circulation and central government deposits with the Bank of Lithuania of LTL 128,8 million and LTL 104,8 million, respectively, as well as the increase of other liabilities and deposits of other monetary financial institutions with the Bank of Lithuania, which went up by LTL 28,4 million and LTL 23,1 million, respectively.
