OREANDA-NEWS. August 10, 2007. LUKoil was the first Russian non-financial company to become a membership of the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange's (MICEX)s derivatives sector.

This membership will enable the company to minimize currency-related risks, influence the cost of derivative contracts valued in foreign currency and cut costs on the group's financial services. LUKoil's presence on the professional stock exchange is a logical conclusion of the formation of the oil giant's Centralized Treasury meant to optimize cash management for the company with monthly operations exceeding $2bln.
