OREANDA-NEWS. According to the annual schedule of repairs, the repair was to last for 52 days but was finished 3,15 days ahead of time, reported the press-centre of Rosenergoatom.

During the repair, the personnel disassembled and refueled the reactor, inspected the cladding of the fuel assemblies and the shell of the reactor, repaired the turbine generator and the safety systems and modernized the reloader.

Due to their high qualification and professionalism, the personnel of the plant and the contractor organizations carried out the repair quickly and efficiently. The deputy chief engineer for repairs Gennady Orel says: “The initial period of the repair was two days shorter than in the annual schedule but we did the work even quicker. Now the unit is working at 970MW.”

Presently, the three units of the plant are operating at 2960MW.

No single incident was registered at the unit during the repair. The radiation background at the plant and in the nearby area is within norm.
