OREANDA-NEWS. On August 05-07, 2007 the 3rd conference of Rosenergoatom Concern (REA) took place in Kurchatov (Kursk region). Representatives of the REA Central Office, all the Russian NPPs and organizations related to the nuclear power industry summed up the results of the fulfillment of the REA Corporate Agreement 2006 and outlined the key social policies for 2008-2010, reported the press-centre of Rosenergoatom.

REA Acting Director General Alexander Lokshin made a report on the Concern’s activities in 2006. Last year the 10 Russian NPPs generated a total of 154.56bln KWh and showed the highest-ever capacity factor - 76%. All of them operated safely and efficiently. 42 incidents were registered at the plants in 2006, with 89% of them caused by the equipment and 11% by the personnel.

REA Deputy Director General Jumberi Tkebuchava reported on the results of the Concern’s social measures in 2006 and outlined the plans for 2008–2010. In the near future the Concern is planning to further improve its personnel policy; to provide its personnel with housing; to improve its health care, insurance and rehabilitation systems; to raise wages and pensions; to extend holidays for employees engaged in harmful productions.

Chairman of the Association of the Trade Unions of the Nuclear Power Industry A.Apalkov reported on the key measures of the sectoral trade unions for ensuring the fulfillment of the REA Corporate Agreement in 2006.

The conferees acknowledged the fulfillment of the CA 2006 and agreed to start drafting the new one (for 2008-2010) in Sept 2007.
