OREANDA-NEWS. August 21, 2007. Alliance Oil Company estimates the investment required until 2010 for the reconstruction of its Khabarovsk Refinery at USD 810mn, reported the press-centre of Alliance Oil Company.

The modernization project was already prepared by engineering company Foster Wheeler. BNP Paribas was attracted by Alliance Oil Company as a financial consultant.

After the modernization is finished, the refinery’s annual capacity will increase by 250,000 tons. Last year, Khabarovsk Refinery processed 3,119mn tons of oil compared with 3,07mn tons in 2005. The output of petrol at the plant reached 341,000 tons in 2006, of aviation kerosene – 203,200 tons, diesel oil – 514,700 tons and of fuel oil – 1,106mn tons.

The refinery’s pre-tax profit surged to RUR 35,6mn (USD 1,4mn) from RUR 17,8mn in 2005; revenues reached RUR 1,180bn vs. RUR 1,113bn in 2005.
