OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2007. Bankas SNORAS AB has been approved as a member on the Riga and Tallinn stock exchanges. Being already a member at the Vilnius Stock Exchange, the bank has become the 22nd pan-Baltic member, reported the press-centre of Bankas SNORAS.

“By operating on the OMX Baltic stock exchanges, we will be able to provide the customers with more flexible decisions, which will better satisfy their needs,” noted Vladimir Streckij, director of Bankas SNORAS Financial Brokerage Department.

During fifteen years of operations Bankas SNORAS has become one of the largest banks in Lithuania. The bank manages the most expansive customer service network in the country, including ten branches, seven branch outlets, 226 savings outlets and 325 ATMs.

Bankas SNORAS Financial Brokerage Department has been providing financial broking and share acquisition funding services in Vilnius stock exchange since 1995. The Bank also provides investment services in the Russian Exchange, Lithuanian and foreign investment funds‘ units.
Bankas SNORAS manages 76 percent of the controlling holding of shares of the Latvijas Krajbanka, the oldest and the largest in terms of the customer service network bank in Latvia. Bankas SNORAS directly manages five subsidiaries in Lithuania and indirectly (through Latvijas Krajbanka) - five subsidiary companies in Latvia, which provide Lithuanian and Baltic market participants with real estate management, constructions and renovation, money, leasing and securities funds management services.

The Bank has its representative offices in Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Ukraine and Belarus.

Within the first half-year of 2007 Bankas SNORAS group earned LTL 35,2 million of non-audited net profit, i.e. by 23,4% more than within the same period in 2006, when the profit of the Bank group amounted to LTL 28,5 million.

Bankas SNORAS AB will trade on the OMX Baltic stock exchanges under the trading code SNO.

The OMX Baltic stock exchanges have 40 members altogether.
