OREANDA-NEWS. On August 28, 2007 in collaboration with the Vitols fund the JSC “Latvijas Krajbanka” has established the scholarship, which will be granted to young adults from different Latvian regions every year to cover the tuition, reported the press-centre of JSC “Latvijas Krajbanka”.

On the 23th of August at the Vitols fund ceremonial event the JSC “Latvijas Krajbanka” was hailed with the new scholarship establishment. This year the JSC “Latvijas Krajbanka” scholarship will be granted to four young adult from Latvia historical regions – Vidzeme, Zemgale, Kurzeme and Latgale.

The Vitols fund is already administrating scholarships, established by different municipalities, enterprises and private persons. The JSC “Latvijas Krajbanka” scholarship is placed in one range together with such scholarships as the former president Vaira Vike-Freiberga`s and the corporation Spidola` scholarships, the Birutas Rubess` (in memoriam), Emils Gailis`, Lielvarde and Talsi region, Sampo Banka, SEB Unibanka, Latvian Statoil and many other grants, which open study possibilities to Latvian youth.

The first JSC “Latvijas Krajbanka” scholarship holders are Viesturs Uzulens (from Valmiera), Nadezda Sveikate (from Eglaine civil parish), Marta Jekule (from Nica civil parish) and Ieva Veselova (from Tervete civil parish). The JSC “Latvijas Krajbanka” president Martins Bonadrs met the scholarship holders and invited them to visit the JSC “Latvijas Krajbanka” to discuss their study plans and the future goals.

The Vitols fund is the non-governmental organization, which grants scholarships to the graduates from secondary schools in countryside, whose families cannot afford to pay their tuition at universities.
