OREANDA-NEWS. On August 27, 2007 FAS Russia considered an administrative violation case initiated against "News Media" OJSC and "MIATs RAMN" NP for distributing advertisement of the Moscow Institute of Psychiatry, the Russian Ministry of Health, without warning about possible contraindications to their application and use, the need to study the usage instruction or consult medical experts, reported the press-centre of  FAS Russia.

Having considered the case, the Antimonopoly Service imposed administrative charges upon "News Media" OJSC and "MIATs RAMN" NP and fined each organization for 40 000 Rubles.

Earlier, on 15h August 2007, FAS Russia recognized the above advertisement improper and breaching Part 7 Article 24 of the Federal Law "On Advertising", and requested "News Media" OJSC and "MIATs RAMN" NP to stop violating the advertising legislation.
