OREANDA-NEWS. On September 05, 2007 the Ukrainian Govt preliminary approved the 2008 draft budget on Wednesday. After polishing the document will be sent to the parliament in time (by September 15), reported the Official website http://www.kmu.gov.ua.

Revenues of the consolidated budget 2008 will amount to 250,1 bn. UAH (30,9% of GDP), revenues of the general fund 197,7 bn. UAH (24,4% of GDP) (1 USD=5,05 UAH). The deficit of the budget is planned at 1,7 bn. UAH (2,2% of GDP) and the deficit of the general fund of the consolidated budget 19 bn. UAH (2,35%).

Expenditures of the consolidated budget will amount to 269 bn. UAH (50,5 bn. UAH more than in 2006). The draft budget also provides for increasing tax privileges versus 2007 by 479,2 m. UAH. Tax credits are planned at 70,1 m. UAH. Incomes from VAT and excise to the budget are supposed to grow. Still, in view of the upcoming accession to the WTO, customs duties are expected to get reduced by 0,8 bn. UAH. The rate of currency purchase and sale will decrease by 0,5%, too.

On the whole, the budget contains the following macroeconomic parameters. The gross domestic product of Ukraine in 2008 will amount to 810,1 bn. UAH (107,2% comparing to 2007). The index of consumer prices is set at 106,8%, the index of producers' price 111,6%. Ukraine's industrial production is expected to grow by 9% and financial result of common activities of enterprises to grow from 86,9 bn. UAH in 2007 to 100,5 bn. UAH with the nominal monthly wage in 2008 reaching 1,654 UAH or 117% comparing to the 2007 performance. The annual exchange rate limits were set at 4,95/5,25 UAH per one USD.

In 2007 Ukraine's GDP is expected at 679,5 bn. UAH (6,5% growth), and the growth of consumer price index at 7,5% and producers' price index at 17,2%. The growth of industrial production is expected to reach 8,5% and financial results from common activities to reach 86,9 bn. UAH. The nominal monthly wage by 2007 must reach 1,308 UAH, which is 14,6% more versus 2006.
