OREANDA-NEWS. September 7, 2007. Specialists of CJSC Gazmontazh (a construction subdivision of the GAZEKS holding company) have launched a public-oriented project - construction of a gas pipeline in the village of Verkhnyaya Sinyachikha of the Gornozavodsk administrative district. The owner of this large-scale construction project is the Sverdlovsk Region Government. In the coming months, the Gazmontazh builders are to design and lay a pipeline about five kilometers long, running from the gas-distribution station to village school No. 2. The education establishment has been heated from a coal-fired boiler house so far; it will be replaced by a modern block-type modular gas-fired boiler house built at the expense of the regional budget. The construction of the gas pipeline that is worth over 18 million roubles is financed by the GAZEKS holding company.

The five-kilometer gas pipeline to the school is only the initial stage in a larger project of providing gas supply to remote villages of the Sverdlovsk Region. The gas pipeline will be further extended to Verkhnyaya Sinyachikha, Makhnevo, Vostochny and Sosva.  The plan is to lay the total of 160 kilometers of pipelines.

It is not the first object built by Gazmontazh in Verkhnyaya Sinyachikha. For the last two years, liquefied natural gas stations have been liquidated in the village at the expense of CJSC GAZEKS (the money comes from a special gas transportation surcharge). In the long run, the development of street gas networks will not only make natural gas available to residents, but also provide an economical and environmentally friendly fuel to the boiler house and production facilities of the Verkhnesinyachinsky Metallurgic Plant where Gazmontazh has also begun to construct an inlet gas pipeline.
