OREANDA-NEWS. The 32nd Annual Symposium of World Nuclear Association under the motto “Our Nuclear Future: Converting Vision to Reality” took place in London on Sept 5-7, 2007.

Over 500 specialists from 25 countries and 150 nuclear organizations, including IAEA, AREVA, Westinghouse and Atomenergoprom, took part in the event, the press-service of Rosenergoatom Concern reported.

Symposium speakers showed a wide-range view of current industry developments, with emphasis on the strategic planning and practical steps needed to ensure and accelerate the nuclear renaissance.

Representatives of Rosenergoatom Concern, who joined WNA in 2003, took an active part in the thematic conferences. The objective of such conferences is in-depth analysis of specific problems of nuclear energy and its influence on the world.

The Symposium has demonstrated that the world is showing an increasingly big interest in nuclear energy.
