OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2007. The Project’s aim is to grant access to museums’ collections kept in storerooms and archives by publishing them. Those are collections, which practically have no chance to see light without a special request to see them, but deserve inscribing into national and world cultural context.

According to Ms Irina Ostrakova, head of Interros Publishing Program, the introduction of unknown and little known masterpieces into scientific and social life will increase the Russian art’s capitalization, while the opportunity to publish them will prompt the scientific work in small and country museums.

The "First Publication" project will have three to five publications a year. A special contest will be launched in order to select masterpieces to be included in those editions.
