OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2007. Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee met with Yury Trutnev, Acting Minister of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation.

The parties discussed the number of issues related to Gazprom activities within the Sakhalin-2 project and to prevention of the environmental legislation breaches on the Sakhalin Island, revealed by Russia’s Federal Service for Supervising Natural Resources (Rosprirodnadzor of the Natural Resources Ministry of the Russian Federation) in 2006.

Alexey Miller and Yury Trutnev discussed Gazprom participation in the offshore field development located in the undistributed fund of the Russian Federation.

The parties achieved an accord to execute the licensed Agreement for the Kovykta gas condensate field embracing the Program on setting up an integrated gas production, transportation and supply system in Eastern Siberia and the Far East, taking account of potential gas exports to China and other Asia-Pacific countries approved by the Russian Federation Government. The parties made a decision that Gazprom will present its proposals on exact field commissioning timing and hydrocarbon production volumes until the end of 2007.
