OREANDA-NEWS. Finnish energy concern Fortum redeems enough shares to form 25% or the blocking portfolio in TGC-1, using a privilege under an additional emission, and now is second largest shareholder of the company, Veles Capital investment company's press-service with reference to Finnish concern reports.

Fortum spent 8.5 bn rubles or 243 mln euros for purchase of the given shares. After the emission, Gazprom’s share is to form 47 percent, and in case large shareholders of generating company fully use their privilege for purchase of additional shares, UES will be left with 13.6 percent of TGC-1. Ever since long ago Fortum announced its intention to save blocking share of TGC-1 this news has not been unexpected.

The experts are positive on participation of the Finnish concern in TGC-1. Gas resources of Gazprom and Fortum’s experience combined together should positively influence company’s effectiveness. However, the experts say, for a short-term outlook they see no prerequisites for growth of company’s quotes and still recommend “Sell”.
