OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2007. Special portable post office rendered services for the guests and participants of VI International Investment Forum Sochi-2007 held in Sochi 20-23 September, 2007. Customers of the post office gladly send souvenirs from the south, letters marked with special cancelling and logotype of the Forum Sochi-2007. The guests also used Internet-services in the public access outlet. The post office was set on the chassis of the car GAZ-33081. This year it was presented for the first time within the framework of the exhibition. Despite of its portability it grants the whole range of modern services as ordinary office does.

The project of portable post offices particularly attracted the guests and participants of the Forum. The Director of FSUE Russian Post AFPS in Krasnodar territory G. Osenchakov told more of such offices and the perspectives of their application in under-populated, distant and difficult-to-access settlements at the round-table conference Informative-technology Support of Rendering State Services on 21st September 2007.

Russian Post showed up-to-date technical and engineering achievements in postal sphere at the corporate display space at the exposition hall of the Zhemchuzhina hotel. Visitors could get acquainted with new services and projects of Russian Post and see postal equipment. The audience was interested in postal-banking services and self-service terminals to make payments.

First of all Russian Post strives to perform social oriented goals initiated by the Government. As of prior goals is illumination of digital deficiency among the citizens living in different regions of our country. We began development of public access outlets network within the framework of universal communication service in March this year. Currently, Krasnodar territory unifies over 400 units and their number will increase constantly. In addition, we develop postal-banking activities that enables to give citizens of small settlements a range of banking services in the nearest post office, notes Director of AFPS in Krasnodar territory, FSUE Russian Post affiliated branch G.
