OREANDA-NEWS. On September 24, 2007 the composition of the Board of Directors of Bank ZENIT has been changed. In accordance with the decision adopted in the course of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of Bank ZENIT, Igor G. Zabelkin, Marat R. Safin and Philip Heyes were elected as members of the Board of Directors, reported the press-centre of Bank ZENIT.

Igor G. Zabelkin was born in 1968. Graduated from All-Russian Extra-Mural Institute of Finance & Economics. In 2000-2003 - Head of Securities Dept of OJSC "ACB Avtobank". In 2003-2004 worked in the company "Rumelko". From 2004 and to the present day - general director of CJSC Management Company "Libra Capital".

Marat R. Safin was born in 1977. Graduated from London School of Economics & Political Science. In 2000-2002 - chief executive of MV Capital Group. From 2002 and to the present day - the president of the company "MARR Group".

Philip Heyes was born in 1961. Graduated from Oxford University (law degree). In 1985 joined the law firm "Linklaters". From 1995 to 2007 a partner in the Corporate Department of "Linklaters".

Commenting on the structural changes in the composition of the supervisory board, A.A. Sokolov pointed out that they "reflect the business strategy of Banking group ZENIT". Moreover, the addition of the independent director Philip Heyes to the Board of the Directors "will promote further development of the corporate governance system of Bank ZENIT in accordance with global best practice and will increase the operating efficiency of all corporate procedures", - underlined A.A. Sokolov.
