OREANDA-NEWS. October 8, 2007. Russian Post enlarges the geography of service on pensions and allowances delivery to improve its quality and grant the customers extra-services.

Since 1st of October Russian Post delivers pensions in another districts in Nizhniy Novgorod and its region (Sovetskiy, Moskovskiy, Kanovinskiy districts, t. Dzerzhinsk), Omsk (Central and Oktyabrskiy districts) and Moscow (Voikovskiy district).

The fact that delivery of pensions became state service is explained primarily as an effort to keep money safe. According to the Manager оf Department of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation in Nizhniy Novgorod region V. Tarasov, not all alternative companies delivering allowances secure money. State money should be delivered by state company. Finally, it is done for the customers’ benefit as Russian Post invests all money got from delivery in reconstruction, modernization and technical reequipment of post offices, he noted. As opposed to alternative companies Russian Post has been providing this service for many years.

Post constantly improves service quality, invests great sums in purchasing modern equipment and implementing new technologies. Nizhniy Novgorod, for instance, became the first Russian region that upgraded delivery of pensions and allowances for the system of electronic document exchange. This measure allowed pensioners monthly get complete information of the structure of their pension, due delivery and period of payment. Currently, technology of electronic document exchange is implemented in another 18 regions.

Beginning to serve pensioners Russian Post keeps working schedule of pensions home-delivery, that’s why they won’t feel any uncomfortable changes in delivery process. Moreover as social function on pensions and allowances delivery is rendered by Russian Post now, pensioners can use extra-services, utilities payments at home, for instance.

Each year the growing number of pensioners prefers to get pension by Russian Post. Since the former year over 1.6 mln pensioners refused to use alternative delivery companies and practice postal services. Presently, the enterprise serves over 23 mln people Russia-wide, mainly in rural settlements.
