OREANDA-NEWS. According to the information department of Leningrad NPP, as of Oct.1, 2007, since its launch Leningrad NPP had produced 730.354 bln KWh. Since the beginning of this year the plant has generated 18.095bln KWh compared to 17.174 bln KWh the year before.

In Sept. 2007, Leningrad NPP produced 1.464bln KWh as compared to 1.799bln KWh in Sept 2006. 1.335bln KWh were supplied to the energy system against 1.639bln KWh a year before.

In Sept. 2007, the capacity factor made up 50.9% vs. 62.5% in Sept 2006. In Sept. 2007, unit 1 produced 731mln KWh, the capacity factor made up 101.6%. Unit 2 was under repair in line with the second stage of the program for its modernization. Unit 3 is being modernized. Unit 4 produced 733 mln KWh with the capacity factor being 101.9%.

In Sept. 2007, the boiler of LNPP supplied Sosnovy Bor and its manufacturing companies with 265,580 cu m of hot water and 22,573 Gcal of heat.

The plant's hydro-technical department supplied the town with 877,294 cu m of drinking water (370,610 cu m to the population). In Sept. 2007, the price of drinking water made up 7.16 RUR for one cu m for the population and 8.03 RUR for cu m for manufacturing enterprises.

35 delegations (631 people) have visited the plant since the beginning of this year. The radiation background in the area was within normal - 14 micro roentgen/hour.

Since Apr.1, 2002, Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant is a branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Russian State Concern for the Production of Electric and Thermal Power at Nuclear Power Plants" (Rosenergoatom Concern). The plant operates 4 units with RBMK reactors 1000 MW each. The plant has four units with 1000 MW RBMK reactors.
