OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2007. A totally new variety of beer called Kupecheskoye ZHIVOYE joined the line-up of Kupecheskoye, one of the oldest regional brands of Baltika Breweries.

The main special feature of the Kupecheskoye ZHIVOYE variety is that it passes through a modern high-technology filtration process which allows the beer to keep useful matter while also increasing the shelf life of a "live" beer from the traditional 5 days up to 2 months.

Sergei Tolstenko, brand manager of Kupecheskoye beer, comments on this development as follows: "The absence of pasteurisation makes it possible to keep a maximum of aroma and taste qualities of live beer. The appearance of the new unpasteurised variety will be an additional advantage of the Kupecheskoye brand, enabling us to enhance the desirability of the brand among our permanent buyers and also to attract new ones."
