OREANDA-NEWS. Russkaya Troyka CJSC has announced a tender to select a prime contractor for construction of container terminal in the port of Vladivostok, the company’s department of marketing communications reports.  The bids submissiondeadline is November 15, 2007.

The company is implementing the project on construction of a specialized intermodal container terminal in the portVladivostok dedicated for handling large-size containers. The terminal with a design capacity of up to 250,000 TEU per year is being built in the Bay of Zolotoi Rog at the territory adjacent to that of the port of Vladivostok. of

The first phase envisions construction of a quay which is to be 186 meters long and 15 meters deep. It is to cover the territory of 5.42 hectares. The construction is to commence in 2008 and to be completed and put into operation in 2010.

The second phase envisions construction of a terminal at the site adjacent to the terminal’s first phase. The quay will be 405 meters long and 15 meters long and to cover 11.35 hectares. The construction will start in 2008 and to be completed in 2010. The terminal will commence operation in 2011.
