Covey is a world known authority in the field of leadership, the author of “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” bestseller № 1 according to the New York Times, sold over 15 mln copies and was translated into 38 languages, as well as, “The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness”.

Evgeny Makarov, the General Director of JSC “IDGC of the Center”, Pavel Obukhov, Deputy General Director for Strategy Management, Dmitry Aleshin, Director for Organizational Development, Evgeny Bronnikov, Deputy General Director for Economics and Finances, Svetlana Puzenko, the Chief Accountant represented “IDGC of the Center”.


In the course of the business-session the participants discussed the key postulates of effective leadership: confidence formation, target focusing, talent release, business systems development. Fielding the participants’ questions, Stephen R. Covey shared his vision of how to gain employees’ and customers’ confidence, the ways of changing over from individual leadership to team work at all company levels and why only agreed systems allow to achieve results.

Evgeny Makarov, the General Director of JSC “IDGC of the Center” shared his experience in forming and quitting into practice the confidence principle in the Company. He said, that this fundamental principle concerning both customers and staff is stated in IDGC-1 missions and values. The formation of confidence principle is an integral part in achieving company targets.

We develop confidence as we want to become a high performance, investment attractive, successful company.  We are fully aware that the only way to achieve set targets is constant development, which is impossible without coordination based on confidence”, - said Evgeny Makarov.
