OREANDA-NEWS. Evraz Group produced 3.473 mln tons of rolled stock in 3Q 2007, current result being 6.7% below results of the similar period in 2006, Veles Capital informs with reference to the company data. Production of cast iron over reported period reached 2.761 mln tons (a decrease of 16%), steel - 3.676 mln tons (a decrease of 8.4%). The mining sector of the group saw a dropped production of agglomerate by 15.5% - to 1.914 mn tons over 3Q versus the results of July-September 2006, pellets production dropped by 2.9% to a total of 1.439 mln tons, but production of ore concentrate upped by 46.2% to 0.923 mln tons.

Company produced 2.919 tons of vanadium, -1.7% compared to results of 3Q 2006, production of vanadium alloys and chemicals made up 3.069 tons, 712.1% above results of the past year. According to the analysts, the decrease of production was related mostly to idle oven 5 at ZSMK plant since May 2007, which is set for launch early 4Q 2007. Experts notice a shift of the company's accent towards production of goods with a higher value added, such as pipe products, railroad products, flat sections; this should positively contribute to general income of holding, though generally they see published results being neutral for the value of company's business.
