OREANDA-NEWS. October 23, 2007. The State Corporation The Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)” and the Samara Region Government entered into an Agreement on Cooperation.

The Agreement was signed by Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev and Governor of the Samara Region Vladimir Artyakov.

The Agreement aims to establish strategic partnership and promote long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Under the Agreement the two sides are determined to work out schemes for raising funds to finance investment projects to be carried out on the territory of the Samara region, a list of which is to be made annually with due regard to socio-economic development priorities of the region.

In order to implement precise lines of cooperation separate agreements are to be made.

The two sides have agreed to explore the possibilities of carrying out the Project to Build a Transport Consolidating Center for Processing Cargoes and Containers on the Territory of the Samara Region. The main objectives of the Project are to build a modern infrastructure facility to handle cargo flows running through international cargo corridors, create new jobs, encourage the development of transport-logistics cluster in the Samara region.

The implementation of the Agreement is aimed at the region’s socio-economic development and boosting the Samara region’s economic and industrial potential.
