OREANDA-NEWS. ConocoPhillips expects that Gazprom will choose it second foreign partner for the development of Shtokman condensed gas deposit over next few weeks, Veles Capital's information department disclosed with reference to the executive vice president of the company William Berry, who said that his company would be very happy to work with Gazprom, saying that US company is examining possible cooperation with gas monopolist over other projects, though he had no details on specific projects. To remind, Gazprom already chose one foreign partner - French company Total to help over the first phase of Shtokman development. Concern continues negotiations with StatoilHydro and ConocoPhillips. In the experts' opinion, US company obviously has all what is required to work over given deposit, and all technologies needed, though, they still think that StatoilHydro has better chances, being world's largest operator of shelf projects, with comparable experience and state-of-the art technologies to develop gas fields at Norway's shelf.
