OREANDA-NEWS. LUKOIL purchased three geological survey blocks at Guinea gulf (West Afrca), Veles Capital reported with reference to the vice president of the company Leonid Fedun. Fedun gave no details of the deal, but also said that the deal's value makes about several hundreds of US dollars. Mr. Fedun underlined that these promising sites have plentiful reserves, but they are buried deep underground. Previous messages indicate that April 2007 LUKOIL Overseas, a 100% subsidiary to LUKOIL, an operator of international mining projects, has signed an agreement with US Oil & Gas Vanco Energy Company, agreeing to purchase 56.6% portfolio over three projects of geological surveying over off-shore sites of the Guinea Gulf. Total area of blocks is about 15 th sq. m., with the depth of water in these blocks being 200 to 3000 meters.
